Skomer Island and Pembrokeshire Coast, South West Wales
In May 2018 I visited the stunning Pembrokeshire coast in South West Wales with a particular interest in seeing puffins and gannets. They can be seen in abundance around the islands off the coast: Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm along with plenty of other birds and wildlife. It's a fabulous place to visit and I would highly recommend the area.
I went back to visit the area in the summer, with my photography friend Sarah. This time it was in the hopes of seeing the puffins with sand eels in their mouths and gannets diving into the water. Day 1: Skomer Island - Lesser black backed gull chicks, puffin, red campion on island, dolphins swimming nearby
Day 2: Grassholm Gannetry Boat Trip (photos 5-8) and Evening Photography Boat Trip watching Manx Shearwaters forming rafts at sea (9-12)
Day 3: Gannet and Lesser Kestrel seen from Wooltack Point and Sunset after the rain
Day 4: Marloes Sands where I watched gannets diving into water and sunset (I've used a neutral density filter with this one)
Day 5: Skomer Island - sand eels in the mouth and a puffling venturing out of its burrow
